Interactive Slideshow
It takes a bit to load up the images on there, which I think is due to the server host.

The slideshow takes you through some of the places and things I went to see on a 3 week holiday to USA & Canada. The photos are ones that I took, hand picked from what was a lot of photos.

The map is to give a view of the area where the photo was taken and where I was staying at the time. For photo 4 & 5, the map is of a stretch of the west coast because over them days we travelled from San Francisco to Seattle.

The text gives more information to the place of the photo and what I was doing. Some things needed explaining in text that the photo and map couldn’t themselves.

Code was added to make the image and map zoom in and out on click, which was noted in an old blog post. I also decided to add a sound and an animation to this process, so when it happens, a sound plays and the image/map grows/shrinks over 0.5 seconds.

There is also a sound that plays when one of the 10 thumbnail buttons, the forward or back button is pressed.

All the extra code has been things we have learnt in past Adobe Flash tutorials, and it adds a lot to the slideshow.
